EAA Airventure 2026

The annual EAA Airventure camping trip was notable for another exceptional group of students, the annual Taco Tuesday hosted once again by the Waukesha EAA chapter, and the spectacular Wednesday night airshow.
The KMYA students exhibited a strong bond from the start mentoring
the new students to smoothly navigate what could easily be an overwhelming experience at the EAA pop-up city of approximately 600,000 aviation enthusiasts from all over the world.
The 2025/26 KMYA students finished building and received the FAA Airworthiness Certificate for N24YA, the RV12iS airplane, just in time for the test flights to be completed so the plane could be flown to Oshkosh.
With senior KMYA student Zach Lobert as pilot and his brother Quinn navigating they flew the plane to EAA managing the heavy traffic like pros with delays from the smoky conditions from Canadian wildfires.
