Wings and Wheels for a Cause
Saturday September 26th, EAA chapter 1158 is sponsoring Wings and Wheels For a Cause to benefit Kettle Moraine Youth Aviation! 11:00 am to 6:00 pm The West Bend Airport will be swarmed with Awesome cars and airplanes along with live music, food and fun for kids and adults! EAA Airventure 2026
The annual EAA Airventure camping trip was notable for another exceptional group of students, the annual Taco Tuesday hosted once again by the Waukesha EAA chapter, and the spectacular Wednesday night airshow. The KMYA students exhibited a strong bond from the start mentoring the new students to smoothly navigate what could easily be an overwhelming experience at the EAA pop-up city of approximately 600,000 aviation enthusiasts from all over the world. KMYA Open House & Award Ceremony
The KMYA Hartford Open House and awards ceremony took place on May 30, 2026. Young eagle flights were offered and 12 students got their first ride in a small airplane. Current team members introduced interested students and parents to our hanger and the current build project. Zach and Quinn Lobert received Builder of the Year honors. We're now accepting applications for the 2026/27 Kettle Moraine Youth Aviation build year. We'll be taking 15 KMYA students camping at EAA Airventure July 21-23rd and the build sessions for our sixth build season will resume at the end of August. We look forward to another successful build season and look forward to welcoming new members!
