Shout Out to West Bend EAA Chapter 1158 for hosting Wings & Wheels Benefit
We're grateful for the hard work of all the volunteers, vendors and event-goers who made the first Wheels & Wings Benefit as successful as it was with close to 1000 people in attendance on Saturday September 26th. Special thank you to EAA Chapter 1158 President Mark Landvetter and Scott Lausten for heading up the event.
The West Bend and Hartford KMYA Build Groups teamed up to help with teaching plane building skills, raffle sales, and giving tours of their recent RV12iS build projects. KMYA founder Larry Sullivan and KMYA graduate Zach Lobert with co-pilot Dan Petri performed two fly-overs in the recently completed airplanes, N24YA and N534PL.
It was a beautiful fall day to enjoy the classic and vintage car and airplane displays, children's activities hosted by Boy Scouts, Wisconsin Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopte tours, wonderful live music, delicious food truck fare, roast corn, ice cream and the KMYA fly-overs - a huge thank you to all who supported this worthwhile event!
