The 128th Air Refueling Wing is located on the grounds of General Mitchell Airport. The Refueling Wing's principle mission is to provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps aircraft as well as aircraft of allied nations. It's also capable of transporting litter and ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations.
Students met with pilots and a recruiter who gave them an in depth understanding of this branch of the Air National Guard. Students toured one of the fourteen KC-135 Jet Tankers, and tried their hand at operating the Refueling Boom Simulator.
